We are working on a documentary based on the history of the Auburn University famous Toomer Oak Trees and Toomer’s Corner. This site will keep you up to date as the filming progresses. As of right now, we have had great success in securing interviews with Auburn Officials, fans, Auburn locals and more.
As I have been working on this, more and more doors are opening. I have a great vision for this documentary and I believe to put this together in a way that is meaning for the Auburn Family, it is going to take a great deal of time. I wanted to be completed with this in February, however I believe that it is important to give the Auburn Family and Auburn Community a complete overview of this great tradition and doing so it is going to take more time.
I still plan on creating a trailer and have it uploaded some time in December 2011.
As far as trying to get an interview with Harvey UpDyke, I have decided that this is not about him. This documentary is about and for the Auburn Family and how we have celebrated at this corner for many years and how we will continue to celebrate at the famous Toomer’s Corner. This documentary is to document from the beginning to present day of what we have done here in the past, present and what we will be doing to celebrate in the future.
Please send me emails if you have any questions or would like to know more about what I am doing. I look forward to completing this project for the Auburn Family to enjoy!
Thanks,
Steven
